Shades of Pink and Purple.

Looking out my kitchen window I noticed that the main colour in my garden at the moment is pink. In many forms from red to pale pink and I have quite a bit of purple foliage.

By the time next month comes around the garden will be a totally different colour

Ten minutes after I had taken the photos I was standing in the kitchen watching the hail stones. Strange weather.

  1. So many lovely flowers - I must confess to being partial to pink flowers myself. Your bottle brush (sorry I don't know the correct name for this plant) is out early - no sign of a flower on mine or my next door neighbour's. These are strange times for the garden!!

  2. The weather is so unpredictable at the moment. I hope the hail didn't spoil any of your gorgeous blooms. Your clematis is lovely, is it Nelly Moser?

  4. Yes to the strange weather and hail! We're getting the same here in France. Thank you for sharing your garden pictures. I love foxgloves and always remember the story Little Grey Rabbit and The Weasels in which the foxgloves would tinkle to warn her that unwelcome guests were approaching her house.

  5. Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Jennifer: My bottle brush might be a bit early becauce I have it in a pot and it get moved to protect it for the winter. This year I was late moving it back So it was all warm and cosy up with all it's friends.

Jo: The name tag on my clematis has worn away so I can't remember it's name.

Stephanie: Your rhubarb fool is one of my Husband's favourites.
