Treats.

In December Shaheen over on Allotment2Kitcnen  did a post on Orange 'jaffa' brownies. I made them today and they are fantastic. They are everything she promised.

Drop by for the recipe.

I also had another go at Lorraine Pascal's Graffiti cake and I'm very pleased with the result.

I hope I have managed to put in the link's  if not copy and past should work.

And this is why you should be careful turning in your mixer with icing sugar in it.

Learn from my mistakes.  The butter icing is lovely. It is nicer on the cake than all over the kitchen.

  3. I don't believe it, my daughter is in the kitchen making Shaheen's Orange 'Jaffa' Brownies at this very minute. I've had the recipe bookmarked since she posted it and have been meaning to make them myself, but when my daughter asked if she could bake I remembered the recipe so she's trying it out. Glad to hear that they turned out so good for you. The Graffiti Cake looks very impressive.

  4. Wonderful. I've done the same with icing sugar before, now I always have a tea towel on standby to cover the machine!
